3. Meeting Summary:
In last Friday’s meeting, we identify our topic and create questions for each segment, and finally decided to use Zoom to record our podcast. We will separate the podcast in two segment: one is talk about the Sleeping Beauty and another is Beauty and the Beast, I will be the speaker in Segment 1, and talk about Sleeping Beauty.
The topic we are going to discuss in segment 1 is the history of Sleeping Beauty and the social value under the film production. What's interesting is that under the same Sleeping Beauty story frame, Maleficent in 2014 shows the current social value. So in the end, we want to compare these two movies to see what happened to gender in different Century. Except for our Host Jianna Nicole Avellanposa will join me, we also invite our researcher Tayven AuronTaylor to express his views in this section.
4. To-Do List
Before starting, I re-read Sleeping Beauty (1950) and then I will look for information from the three resources I found to introduce the film
and support my point.
The three resources are:
1. (Podcast)Sarah Woloski, Episode 33 Audio: Evil has A Beginning----Maleficent.
2. (Article) Harr&Trapedo, Disney’s Magic Mirror
3. (Video) Disney Umbrella, History of Sleeping Beauty-Disney Princess Analysis
When we have prepared all the information, the next step we need to do is to formulate our process and improve the information we found. We created a Google Document to organize the information we found, and modify each other and understand what other team members want to say.
5. Schedule
