​​Where we start
This is a sharing of my experience in making a podcast. I acted as the editor of our podcast, edited and added background music and transition music. This is the first time I do a podcast, and the edits I made as an editor were not too good, but I was still very happy when I finished this program because when I add music to make the original dull podcast more three-dimensional makes me feel very fulfilled. Compared to being a speaker, analyzing movies, and looking for different perspectives on gender, the biggest gain from this project is still teaching me how to do audio. And it let me know that writing is not the only way on communication skills.
​Pre-production
In the first week, we learned how to watch videos and find opinions in the videos, which helped me use some video resources in this podcast. Then, in order to facilitate the understanding of the different opinions among the group members, we created a google doc and used the recording methods we learned in this course, such as annotation, to let other group members understand my views. After everything was ready, we started the first pre-production meeting. Before the official recording, I did a draft training to make sure that I can speak correctly and control the time during the official recording.

It is hard but IÂ made it
I think doing podcasting this time is a challenge from start to finish. As an international student, it is very stressful for me to use a second language to explain my views. But what we have learned from the 39A onwards made me find it very easy to prepare the materials. In order to overcome errors that may occur during recording, I made a draft and kept practicing. I think a large part of the reason I can succeed is that we have been preparing for the materials since the beginning of school. So if you want things to be successful, you must be fully prepared in advance.
​It is hard but we made it
I am very grateful to the three partners I worked with this time, Jia, Tayven and Doris. In the second pre-recording, I made a lot of mistakes, and I couldn't even complete a complete speaking alone. But they treat me as normal and don't ask me to do much. But the most important aspect of cooperation is communication. I feel that our team members are very enthusiastic. We have a good division of labor and cooperation. Although Doris and our time zone are different, she still participates in our meetings. I want to thank them again. Without them, our work would not be completed.
It's all over now
Although our cooperation is over, I still learned a lot from this project that I can use in my future studies. First of all, this collaboration gave me more ideas on the theme of our quarter. Fortunately for this collaboration, Doris and I had the same theme at the beginning. We both discussed Maleficent and Sleeping Beauty. Doris is a very thoughtful person. She proposed that the three godmothers and Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty have magic. But the three godmothers can only use magic to clean up the housework. I think this point is very worth thinking about. We only paid attention to the princess and the villain, but did not carefully observe these supporting characters. I will use it in my essay. I think the best thing about cooperation is when my partners have ideas that I didn't expect at all to enrich my own ideas.

Creating podcast and website
I am the second speaker but at the same time I am also the editor this time. I tried to understand and learned how to edit, which is really interesting. I admit that at the beginning I hated getting this job because I had no idea how I should do it, but when I successfully synthesized the beginning, everything changed. It is really interesting.
